A 45 year old Murfreesboro woman was assaulted and left unresponsive by her attacker. The incident occurred on Thursday evening in the area of Givan Court off of Greenland Drive.

Evidently a neighbor found the victim in her driveway. The woman was covered in blood and had apparent signs of blunt force trauma to her head.

A witness to the aftermath of the attack, reported seeing a white male with "shaggy hair" run through her yard shortly before police arrived on the scene.

Apparently, nothing was actually stolen from the victim and it is not known as to why she was attacked.

The case is under investigation.
