Flu season is upon us. Dr. Jason Greene with Reeves-Sain Drug Store tells NewsRadio WGNS there have already been few cases reported:

"If you haven't had your shots, now's the prime time to get a shot. So please come to Reeves-Sain or any other pharmacy, physicians office, to receive your shot."

Dr. Greene suggests ways to tell the difference between colds and flu:

"Colds can go around at any time. Flu certainly more so in the winter. Fever typically presents with flu. Body aches that are really severe, for the most part. But really fever is the biggest trigger versus a cold. You honestly feel much worse with the flu than you do with a cold."

Dr. Greene says prevention can go a long way to keeping you healthy this winter. The number one thing you can do is to frequently wash your hands with soap.
