A Dodge Avenger that was believed to have been stolen during a LaVergne Car Jacking on February 7th was recovered in Murfreesboro. One arrest was also made.

Police spotted the car as the driver turned into Wind Crest Apartments. Seconds after police turned on their blue lights, the car came to an abrupt stop. The report shows that both the driver and the passenger exited the Avenger and took off on foot.

One of the two suspects was apprehended and he has been identified as Emerson Woods, Jr. The 19 year old was charged with Evading Arrest and Theft Over $10,000. He also faces additional charges by LaVergne Police.

Woods is scheduled to appear in court on March 22, 2018. As of Tuesday night, the teen remains behind bars under a $27,000 bond.
