National Right to Life announced its endorsement of Diane Black for Governor. Executive Director David O'Steen and Political Director Karen Cross praised Diane for her lifelong commitment to fighting for the lives of the unborn in a letter.

"National Right to Life, the federation of state right-to-life organizations, is pleased to endorse you for election as governor," O'Steen and Cross said. "We strongly commend you for your outstanding leadership and perfect 100 percent pro-life voting record throughout your years in Congress."

"As a nurse, its in my nature to value life and do all I can to make sure it is preserved and cherished," Black said. "My passion for the pro-life position did not begin in elected office, but in emergency rooms where life was lost far too often. I am honored to have the support of National Right to Life and the shared vision of making our state the most pro-life state in the nation."

In the state legislature, Diane proudly authored SJR 127, later known as "Amendment 1"to restore pro-life protections under state law.

In Congress, she authored a bill to provide full exemption from Obamacare's HHS abortifacient mandate, passed a resolution to overturn a DC policy which targets pro-lifers through the House and led more than 200 Members of Congress in submitting a bipartisan, bicameral amicus brief challenging Little Sisters of the Poor's challenge to Obamacare's HHS mandate.

The first bill Diane sponsored in Congress would have defunded Planned Parenthood.

She is a member of the Congressional Pro-Life Caucus and the Select Investigative Panel on Infant Lives. During the 2016 election, she served as the National Co-Chair of the Pro-Life Coalition for Trump-Pence.

"All Tennessee voters who are concerned with the right to life and with the protection of the most vulnerable members of the human family should vote to elect you as governor so that you can continue to work to advance vital pro-life public policies," O'Steen and Cross said.
