A 23 year old man by the name of Ovi Lee Perez has been arrested in Murfreesboro after an investigation by the Special Victims Unit.

According to a police report, the victim was only 10 years of age. Perez was named as the suspect in the crime and evidence was submitted to the Rutherford County Grand Jury. As a result of the investigation and Grand Jury actions, Perez was charged with "Sexual Battery."

The felony case against Perez will go to the Circuit Courts of Rutherford County. As of Monday (June 10, 2019), Perez remained behind bars.
