Martin said that service adds up to around $6.5 million annually, but due to the original agreement with Murfreesboro providing their water treatment for the landfill - it was not charged to citizens. The city will soon have to transport trash elsewhere due the landfill only having about 5 to 7 years of life left.

The residential trash pick up fee as of July 1, 2019 is $7.50 per trash container - per month. Businesses pay $30 per month per container.
