Murfreesboro Police Swarm the Area of Walmart on Joe B. Jackson Pkwy

Feb 14, 2020 at 10:30 am by Bryan Barrett

UPDATE: A large amount of police activity in the area of South Church Street (231 South) and Joe B. Jackson Parkway had passing motorist concerned on Thursday night.

Lt. Charlie Caplinger with the Highway Patrol told WGNS that the State Trooper was in pursuit of a vehicle for various traffic violations. Lt. Caplinger said that several Troopers responded to assist when the one who started the chase hit a curb damaging the patrol car. We also learned that the curbing of the police cruiser was not necessarily the fault of the fleeing vehicle - other than to say if the subject did not flee then a chase would not have occurred and the THP car would not have hit a curb.
