The Rutherford County Schools are reminding parents that the upcoming TCAP test will count towards student semester grades. This is being done due to a new law which took effect at the beginning of this year dealing with TCAP testing. For grades 3^rd through 5^th, the TCAP test score will count for 20-percent of a pupils semester grades.  For middle school and high school students, TCAP tests — both achievement and End of Course exams — will count for 25% of their second semester grades.
