A man too intoxicated to be on his own was taken to the hospital on Monday evening. The subject was so intoxicated that he had to be admitted to the critical care unit at Middle Tennessee Medical Center in Murfreesboro. Police got the call about the intoxicated subject at 1 in the afternoon from a manager at a motel on Chaffin Place near Cracker Barrel. Evidently, the man refused to leave the hotel room after he had stayed in the room for one full night; he was supposed to check out at 11. Police noted in their report that they found two empty economy size bottles of vodka in the hotel room. After the man remained in the critical care wing of the hospital for four hours he was released to the police department. The subject was arrested and charged with public intoxication. The 36-year old was released after posting a $250-bond.
