"Get out and vote!"  That was the message from the Murfreesboro City Council at their March 29th meeting, just one day after the start of early voting for city elections.  Speaking of elections, discussions also began to consider changing the date of city elections to a day in either August or November, which would be effective for the first time in the 2014 races.  A public hearing was held to rezone 20.36 acres along Robert Rose Drive for a new three-story apartment complex, as well as areas along Memorial Boulevard and Bradyville Pike.  The Cable Television Coordinator purchased a new diesel power backup generator, and audits are set to begin soon of the city's finances for the fiscal year ending June 30th.  Finally, some street name changes effective August 1st; Barfield Crescent Road from South Church Street west, and Kimbro Road from Barfield Road west to Saint Andrew's Drive will be renamed to Veterans Parkway.
