Theft of 40-Plus Car Batteries in Murfreesboro

2-Pallets of used car batteries were stolen from the Walmart store on Old Fort Parkway. Reports indicate that over 40-batteries were on the pallets. 40-Batteries weigh more then 1,600-pounds and are worth over $1,000. The batteries were in a locked storage building behind the store. Unknown persons cut the lock.

A surveillance video of the theft showed a car that has been linked to other thefts on the video. Reports indicate that a similar theft occurred at a Walmart store in Georgia. In that case an arrest was made. The same culprit may be responsible for the Murfreesboro theft. Police are looking into it.
