A taxi cab driver was robbed by one of his customers last week in Murfreesboro. The driver of the cab told police that he was summoned to an address on East State Street where he picked up a man who allegedly needed a ride to work. Once the driver arrived at their destination, the subject told the driver he only had a $50-dollar bill. The cabbie told the man he did not have change for a $50. The man then left the cab to get change. When the suspect returned to the cab, he grabbed the cabbie’s money out of his shirt pocket and fled the scene. The thief got away with $24. He has not been caught.
