Smyrna Police say that two people have been accused of embezzling nearly $4,000 from the Smyrna Rescue Squad. The former chief of the facility and his wife have been arrested. Police are investigating Unit Chief Edward Manning and his wife Danielle Manning, the former unit treasurer. Smyrna officials say the two removed money from a Rescue Squad account and spent money on the organization credit card.

The two resigned this past April. They are set to appear in court on September 24th.
