The second Thanksgiving morning 4-mile run/walk is now registering runners. Since the beginnning, Reeves-Sain has been the presenting sponsor.

Borodash Director Staci McCreary said, “That Reeves-Sain has decided to be a sponsor of Borodash for the third year in a row and for the second time to be the presenting sponsor means the world to us. We owe a huge debt of thanks to Shane and Rick and everyone else at Reeves-Sain for their support of Borodash from day one. Borodash wouldn’t be the same without them.”

According to Rick Sain, co-owner of Reeves-Sain, supporting Borodash is very much in line with the company’s mission statement and core commitment.

Sain explained, “Reeves-Sain exists to provide for the health and general welfare of local residents. Borodash has created an event that encourages entire families to come together to the benefit of their health and of the community. This sponsorship of Borodash presents an ideal opportunity for our company to support those efforts.”

Sain went on to highlight the charitable accomplishments of the first two years of Borodash.

“There were over 1,600 runners the first year and 2,400 runners last year,” he said. “In its two first years, Borodash has given more than $80,500 to designated charities. All of us at Reeves-Sain are proud to be a part of that effort. We are excited to see what this year’s race will accomplish.”

Sign-Up For Borodash 2012

Registration for Borodash 2012, presented by Reeves-Sain, starts Sunday, August 12. Interested runners will be able to sign up online at the Borodash website or by picking up and mailing in a registration form available at various local businesses.

“We hope to exceed last year’s numbers,” explained McCreary. “Our board continues to work towards providing Rutherford County a well-organized Thanksgiving Day race. But we could never carry out the mission of our race without the support and assistance from all of our sponsors and without the participation of the Borodash race community.”
