A Murfreesboro man has been indicted on felony aggravated assault and attempted murder charges for a shooting that allegedly took place on Wenlon Drive March 1. Leonard Ellis, who will be extradited from Illinois, will appear in a Rutherford County Courtroom on Aug. 20 for the reported shooting of Justin McCullough at a Wenlon Drive apartment. McCullough, who survived the shooting, was shot multiple times and received serious injuries.
