The landlord of a rental property in Murfreesboro reported that an unknown man had entered their vacant property and spent the night on several occasions. Steven Gordon Bumgardner Allegedly broke into 826 N. Spring Street and spent an entire week living in an upstairs unit of the apartment. Bumgardner was charged with trespassing, theft of services, aggravated burglary and served a warrant for a charge of DUI. According to the incident report on file at the police department, the 34-year old man drank a twelve pack of beer, ate two cans of tuna and a can of fruit cocktail while living in the vacant property.
