Return To Standard Time

Oct 09, 2012 at 07:50 am by Bryan Barrett

When do we return to regular time? We've been getting that question here at WGNS. The "fall back" date is the first Sunday in November. So that means, at 2:00AM Sunday morning, November 4, 2012.

In the United States Daylight Saving Time begins at 2:00 a.m. local time on the second Sunday in March. On the first Sunday in November areas on Daylight Saving Time return to Standard Time at 2:00 a.m. When Daylight Saving Time begins turn your clocks ahead one hour. At the end of Daylight Saving Time turn your clocks back one hour.

So when you go to bed Saturday night, November 3rd, set your clock back one hour. For example, if you go to bed at 10:00PM, change your clock to read 9:00PM.

Again, we return to standard time at 2:00 o'clock Sunday morning, November 4th.
