Wednesday (8/19/2020) morning is the first day that new and returning MTSU students will move-in to their assigned university dorm buildings. Of course, this year that move in will be slightly different, as noted by Dr. Mark Byrnes, University Provost and chair of the MTSU COVID-19 Task Force…

The move-in will take about five days, which was a decision that was made to make it easier for students and their families to practice social distancing.

The move-in dates will be spread out between Wednesday, August 19th and Sunday, August 23rd.

On a side note, classes for this upcoming semester will end at Thanksgiving...

COVID-19 Precautions:

For the all-day move in day, students and those helping them move into their new dorm room, will be required to wear mask, gloves, use hand sanitizer and practice social distancing.

Special Note:

MTSU students are returning to campus to begin the 2020-21 academic year and the pandemic has prompted noticeable changes for those living in campus residence halls. To mitigate the spread of the coronavirus, MTSU is reopening their residence halls at single-occupancy levels for the fall, meaning that rooms that previously would be shared by two roommates will only be occupied by a single student.
