Monday morning proved to be a treacherous day for motorists in Murfreesboro. While the snow was lite, the mixture of wet roads and freezing temperatures equaled a higher number of fender-benders than usual.

By 9AM, the Murfreesboro Police Department had already responded to about 36 minor traffic and property damage crashes, mainly due to the snow and slick roads. MPD Officers also handled a handful of minor injury crashes on Monday.
