Feb 13, 2021 at 05:55 pm by WGNS

(MURFREESBORO) The local VA hospitals in Murfreesboro and Nashville held their first walk-in COVID-19 vaccination clinic and administered more than 1,400 Moderna doses Saturday to enrolled Veterans.

Local Tennessee Valley Healthcare System Director Dr. Richa Misra said, “I’m really proud to say we are in the top 25 percent of VA hospitals with the highest number of vaccines administered. Our vaccine teams made today’s event successful through their dedication and meticulous planning, along with our colleagues in the Army National Guard. Today has been absolutely incredible.”

From 8:00AM until noon this coming Monday (2/15/2021) Murfreesboro and Nashville VA hospitals will host a second walk-in clinic for enrolled Veterans who are aged 55 and above. Alternatively, patients can use VA’s “Keep Me Informed” tool to express interest in the COVID-19 vaccine.
