12:40 PM UPDATE: Vaccinations have resumed at State Farm after lightning caused a short delay on Wednesday (3/17/2021).

Those signed up to receive COVID Vaccines on Wednesday will have to wait, if their vaccine was going to be administered at the old State Farm building on Memorial Boulevard at DeJarnette Lane in Murfreesboro.

The Rutherford County Sheriff's Office confirmed that lightning has led to the temporarily closure of the vaccines being administered Wednesday at State Farm. The site is expected to reopen 30 minutes after the last sign of lightning.

The Sheriff's Office noted, “Please be patient because the vaccinations will be back-logged today (Wednesday).”
