The driver of a dump truck is dead after an accident that sent the victim and the truck down a sixty to eighty foot drop. The incident occured at a rock quarry in Murfreesboro on Saturday morning.
The deadly mishap occurred at Hoover Rock Quarry at areound 10AM on Saturday. Hoover is located on Twin Oak Drive. Apparently the driver ran off an embankment and the truck landed on its roof after the drop.
The driver died at the scene and the case remains under investigation.
