(MURFREESBORO) Ascension St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital invited community leaders and medical professionals to tour its new Westlawn Neighborhood Hospital and ER on Thursday afternoon (3/16/2023). The community is invited to a PUBLIC OPEN HOUSE from 1:00 - 4:00PM this Sunday afternoon (3/19/2023).
The new facility is at 5127 Veterans Parkway, near I-840. It is surrounded by a soon to open Murfreesboro Medical Clinic and alrea open TOA (Tennessee Orthopaedics Alliance).
President and CEO of Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford Gordon Ferguson told WGNS what the new complex will include . . .
The new neighborhood hospital will improve access to care for members of Murfreesboro's Westlawn and Blackman communities. In addition, rural residents will also benefit from care closer to home.
Ferguson said that Westlawn Neighborhood Hospital will start accepting patients at 7:00AM this Monday morning (3/20/2023).

The 32,000-square foot facility will have eight private inpatient medical beds and an emergency department with eight treatment rooms. Additionally, the facility will offer diagnostic imaging, laboratory services, and outpatient services.

In addition to the 24/7 Emergency Room (ER) that opens this Monday morning, Westlawn Neighborhood Hospital will also offer laboratory testing and imaging services, including:
- Complete blood cell counts
- Complete metabolic profiles
- CT scans
- EKG and cardiac enzyme analysis
- Flu screening
- Liver panel
- Pregnancy tests
- Radiology
- RSV tests
- Ultrasound
- Urinalysis
- X-rays
