Tour de Boro bike race will be on April 20th - 17, 31 and 64 mile races

MTSU Instructor Brad Camp tells WGNS they are looking forward to a great bike race on April 20th. The race is put together by the MTSU Rec Department.

The race for the more experienced is 64-miles long.

Camp told us that money raised during all three races will go to Special Kids in Murfreesboro.

Brief Description

7th annual Tour de Boro Bicycle Event Murfreesboro, TN. April 20, 2013 at 8:00 a.m. at Barfield Crescent Park Tour de Boro (TDB) hosted by Middle Tennessee State University’s Recreation and Leisure Services Program. The supported ride (SAG, rest stops, breakfast, and lunch) will host three routes (17, 31, and 62 miles) and will begin at 697 Barfield Crescent Road in Murfreesboro, TN. Registration starts at 7:00am and ride begins at 8:00am. The TDB 2013 charity is Special Kids.

Participant Pre and Post Race Check-In: REQUIRED

All riders must have positive pre and post race check-in with registration on the day of the event. This is in order to sign waivers and receive emergency contact rider bands. Anyone without a rider band at the start line, will NOT be allowed to participate.

Liability Release Forms

All participants MUST sign a paper copy of the liability release form. A paper form may be printed from active.com. Forms will be available at the registration pre-race check-in.

This event is hosted by Middle Tennessee State University, and they reserve the right to cancel the event due to outstanding circumstances. Thank you for your understanding. **Early registration has begun and will end April 17th, 2013! Registration on or before this date guarantees $35 early registration fee on now until April 17th on active.com (plus a $3 service charge), a t-shirt the day of the event and 1 automatic entry for the grand prize drawing! On the day of the ride the fee will be $40. Routes: 17 mile (supported), 32 mile (supported) and 64 mile (limited support). Check out the route details so you are familiar with the ride the day of the ride! Registration with our ride includes: FREE Breakfast, FREE after ride lunch (or dinner), t-shirt, and 1 automatic entry into the grand prize drawing!
