Marla Hord served on the board of the Discovery Center at Murfree Spring. This non-profit was chartered in 1986 and now more than 120-thousand children and families visit this massive science center that promotes a strong STEAM education. It is located next to the Murfree Spring Wetland, a protected animal, fish and bird habitat.
