(June 24 - July 2, 2023 )  Murfreesboro Central Magnet School's team are again in the 2023 Great Race. The race begins (8AM-1PM) at Francis Field in St. Augustine, Florida and travels 2,300 miles to Colorado Springs, Colorado with the arrival day being July 2, 2023. This is not a race for "speed", but one based on precise "time". Murfreesboro Central Magnet School's entry is again the green 1953 Pontiac Chieftain named "Bonnie". WGNS will be updating you on the race throughout the period. Admission to any stops is FREE. It does not stop in Murfreesboro this year, and the closest two overnight stops are in Birmingham and Memphis.  There is a map of the entire route with "LUNCH STOPS" and "OVERNIGHT STOPS" clearly marked. https://www.greatrace.com/2023-route
