Brief background:
According to the United States Jaycees Foundation, “The organization we know today as The United states Junior Chamber of Commerce (Jaycees) traces its beginnings to the work of Henry Giessenbier, Jr., in St. Louis, Missouri. The history follows an unbroken line from his founding of the Young Men's Progressive Civic Association on October 14, 1915, at the Mission Inn. Giessenbier is labeled our "founder."
