How Low Can you Go? Thief Steals Food from a Murfreesboro Food Bank!

Apr 05, 2013 at 03:35 pm by Bryan Barrett

Food from a community food bank in Murfreesboro was stolen this past week. The director of the McFadden Community Center called the police after a white male allegedly stole over $600 worth of food. Apparently the man showed up seeking food from the food bank and was told the center would not open for another 40-minutes. The man asked if he could wait and the director told him that would be fine.

Minutes later a worker at the center went to gather food to prepare a snack for the children staying at the facility in their daycare program. To the workers dismay, all of the food was gone. The subject who told the director he would wait for the food bank to open was missing too. The McFadden Community Center on Bridge Avenue is the home of the Rutherford County Emergency Food Bank.
