Session April 16th on 3D Printing!

Apr 06, 2013 at 11:36 am by Bryan Barrett

Mind2Marketplace, the local entrepreneur group that matches investors with inventors, is offering a program on 3D printing from 5:30 to 8:30 Tuesday evening, April 16th, at Murfreesboro's Clarion Inn & Suites just off I-24 (Exit 78) . This technology is being applied to everything from rapid prototyping of designs to printing organs from stem cells.

The evening includes an informal networking session, full dinner and presentations.  We expect to have 3D printing demos in progress during the networking session to stimulate conversation.

The opening presentation is by Melinda Hamby, a teacher in the engineering emphasis at Central Magnet in Murfreesboro.  She will be accompanied by a student, Liam Page.  Liam is a standout engineering student currently in the 10th grade.  Melinda will describe how she uses their grant-provided 3D printer to drive home engineering concepts learned in the classroom.
