Joey Allison has joined First National Bank of McMinnville, Murfreesboro as vice president and manager of branch loan staff at 1708 Gateway Boulevard, Brian Wilcox, Rutherford County president for the bank, announced.
Allison will concentrate on comprehensive business loan development that includes all types of commercial and construction. Additionally, he will support lending staff with underwriting and portfolio management.
‘Joey is a 16-year banking professional that we are extremely excited to have on our Murfreesboro team,” Wilcox said, adding, “He brings with him a wealth of knowledge of the local market and additionally many years of experience serving construction and commercial clients which we are anticipating to be growth areas for Rutherford County.”
Allison said he is excited to become a member of the First National Bank of McMinnville family with its long, established history and solid reputation in the community.
“Rutherford County is one of the fastest growing counties in Tennessee. I look forward to managing and growing the construction lending portfolio for First National Bank of McMinnville,” Allison said.
Wilcox will be relocating his office in the FNB executive suite on the second floor of the Stonegate Building and will be focusing more on growth opportunities with existing and new relationships as the local economy continues to expand.
“I will also be working more closely with FNB CEO Tom Vance,” Wilcox explained. “Together we will not only be serving customers more directly but also supporting our growing staff in the retail branch, mortgage division and title company.”
In his 16 years in the banking industry, Allison has gained extensive experience and has concentrated largely in the past 10 years on construction lending services. He has received three major banking awards during that time.
A graduate of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, with a bachelor of science degree in business administration, he worked in the insurance industry for eight years before turning to banking.
He serves on the board of directors for Project Help, coach for the Murfreesboro Challenger League baseball and as a volunteer for school and community functions. He is a former board member of the Rutherford County Homebuilders Association and Challenged Athletes Playing Equally.
He is married to Julie Allison. They have a daughter, Blair, and a son, Mitchell. Allison enjoys golf, fishing and restoring antiques.
