(MURFREESBORO) Ho, ho, ho--Santa and friends will create CHRISTMAS MAGIC as the Murfreesboro Parade rolls from MTSU onto East Main, down to the square and onto East Main. The annual Christmas Parade starts at 2:00PM Sunday afternoon (12/10/2023). 

Murfreesboro Park's Assistant Director Rachel Springer noted, "The forecast called for a wet and very windy Saturday, but partly suSnny and 44 at parade time."

The theme of the 2023 Murfreesboro Christmas Parade is CHRISTMAS MAGIC, and it has special meaning . . . 

That was Murfreesboro Parks and Recreation's Cultural Arts Supervisor Susan Hicks.

Grand Marshal

Murfreesboro's 2023 Grand Marshal is Dr. Gloria Bonner. Prior to retring from MTSU, she has spent 44 years in education with 32 of those years in academic and administrative roles at Middle Tennessee State University. Bonner has dedicated a huge percentage of her life to not only education, but also to volunteering with a long list of local non-profits that better our community. 

Again, the Murfreesboro Christmas Parade begins on East Main at Middle Tennessee Boulevard at 2:00 o'clock Sunday afternoon. It goes down East Main, around the square, onto West Main and ends at Walnut Street. 

Cannonsburgh's Drive-Through Lights

Remember, Murfreesboro Parks and Recreation Department's FREE drive-through Christmas Lights at Cannonsburgh Village (312 South Front St.).  This is open to the public every Friday, Saturday and Sunday evening from 5:00 to 8:00PM now through Dec. 17, 2023.
