Murfreesboro, TN - In a welcome update, Murfreesboro Police confirmed that the missing teen, 15-year-old Emily Lynn Haynes, has been safely located. The announcement came shortly before sunrise on Tuesday, putting an end to the community's concern regarding her disappearance.

Murfreesboro Police Public Information Officer Larry Flowers shared the positive news with WGNS Radio at around 5:30 a.m., stating, "Missing 15-year-old Emily Lynn Haynes was safely located overnight in Murfreesboro." The teen, who had been listed as a runaway, was reported missing by her mother last Wednesday morning, January 24, 2024, around 1 a.m.


Before her safe recovery, law enforcement, joined by the community, launched a concerted effort to locate Haynes. The teen had a history of leaving home on several occasions but would typically return on her own. However, this time raised more concerns, prompting an intensified effort to ensure her safe return.
