More stormy weather is being forecast for Rutherford County and all of Middle Tennessee.

Nashville National Weather Service Meteorologist Sam Shamburger says out of all of the rounds of storms we've had or expect this week, Wednesday's threat is the greatest. He says expect two rounds of strong to severe storms Wednesday:

He says the storm timing for the second round has bumped up a bit, according to model data, to an evening into night time event:

Shamburger says in addition to large hail and damaging straight line winds, tornadoes are possible:

He says now is the time to prepare and be ready to put into place your severe weather precautions:

Shamburger says not to be discounted is the heavy rain expected, which could cause some flash flooding. This will be especially true for areas that have already seen heavy rain.

Storms and muggy 80-degree temperatures will be replaced after the severe weather potential with sunshine and 70's for high temperatures throughout the extended forecast.
