Murfreesboro, TN - Record breaking temps are in the forecast over the next few days. That brings an increase in engines overheating and catching on fire, or fires starting in the extra dry fields and yards. 

On Sunday (7/14/2024) a brush fire broke out on 12 Corners Road, near the Rutherford/Wilson County Line. 

Rutherford County Fire Rescue along with Murfreesboro Fire-Rescue's brush #6 worked as a team in 100-degree temperatures on Sunday.

Please, always report the unattended fires when you see them. If you leave them unreported, they spread out-of-control and destroy homes, barns and out-buildings in their paths.
