Percy Priest Lake – Here’s more news on the man who fell from a boat into Percy Priest Lake around 4:00 o’clock Wednesday (8/14/2024) afternoon. Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency reports witnesses say that a 54-year man was struggling to keep his head above the water after falling from a pontoon boat that was anchored in the lake. After a period of time, he went under and did not resurface.

Water rescue arrived and recovered the male when he was pronounced deceased.

TWRA shows this was the second drowning on Percy Priest Lake this year, and the sixteenth in Tennessee waterways.
