MURFREESBORO, Tenn.—Local businesses in the historic Murfreesboro District continue to collaborate through Main Street Murfreesboro, an organization dedicated to fostering economic growth and community engagement. Executive Director Sarah Callender announced that the group is working to provide free workshops tailored to small businesses, aiming to equip entrepreneurs with valuable insights to strengthen their operations.
This year, Main Street Murfreesboro plans to host sessions in three key areas that directly impact small businesses. To ensure these workshops align with the needs of local entrepreneurs, the organization has launched a four-question survey, inviting participants to share their preferences on topics and scheduling.
The workshops under consideration include:
-
Understanding Business Valuation – A session designed to educate business owners on valuation approaches used to assess the worth of a company and strategies to enhance its appeal.
-
Business Succession Planning – Guidance on preparing for a business transition, whether through selling, retirement, or handling unforeseen circumstances. The session will also delve into advanced retirement planning for small business owners.
-
Fund Tennessee Program Overview – An in-depth explanation of three state-backed initiatives—InvestTN, LendTN, and AssistTN—that provide financial resources to businesses and entrepreneurs at critical stages.
Local business owners are encouraged to participate in the survey to help shape the programming, ensuring that the workshops meet their needs and availability.
