23,000 Pounds of Ground Beef Produced by the "National Beef Packing Company" Recalled

23,000 pounds of ground beef has been recalled in Tennessee and beyond. The U.S. Department of Agriculture is recalling the beef after a potential E. coli contamination. The beef comes from National Beef Packing Company out of Kansas. It was shipped to Tennessee, among several other states.

Be on the lookout for the following “Ground Beef” products:

  • 10 lb. packages of "National Beef" 80/20 Coarse Ground Chuck, package code "0481."
  • 10 lb. packages of "National Beef" 81/19 Coarse Ground Beef, package code "0421."
  • 10 lb. packages of "National Beef" 80/20 Fine Ground Chuck, package code "0484."

The recalled meat has a sell by date of June 14, 2013, and it will have the number "EST. 208A" inside the mark of inspection by the USDA.

So far, there have been NO reports of any illness in relation to this most recent recall.
