The 2016 Torch Award Recipients were announced at the BBB Board of Director Luncheon Meeting held May 11 at Bridgestone Arena. "The BBB Torch Award program is a rigorous entry for any business participating in the Nomination process, says Mike Sanders, Ted R. Sanders Moving & Warehouse, chair of the Torch Award Committee. This is not a popularity contest. Each nominee is reviewed by a panel of independent judges who evaluate the company's demonstrated commitment to business practices that build trust with employees, customers and vendors in the marketplace."

"Presenting the Torch Award to each recipient at their place of business allows employees to celebrate the important roles they have in building customer trust in business", says Kathleen Calligan, CEO, BBB Middle TN. "It's that trusted relationship between business and their customers that fosters long term business success and raises the standards for commerce in Middle Tennessee."

BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee is the presenting sponsor of the 2016 Torch Awards making it possible for each recipient to receive this prestigious recognition during a celebration held at their place of business with employees, business partners, customers, family and friends.
