Shortly after 3AM on Thursday morning, a man who bought a pack of cigars with his credit card tried to purchase two 18 packs of beer. However, because it was after 3AM, the clerk could not sell the customer beer. So instead of buying the brewski, he allegedly stole it.

The clerk at the BP / Mapco Gas Station on Memorial Boulevard (1320 Memorial Blvd., Murfreesboro) was able to write down the tag number on the car he was driving and also knows his credit card number, because he bought the cigars with his credit card. In other words, police know exactly who the beer heist culprit is and where he lives. They even know the make and model of his 2003 Dodge.

Another issue that the man is sure to face, he was only 19 years of age and you have to be 21 to buy beer. The Lascassas teen will likely get to feel the cold steel of handcuffs in the near future.
