Blackman routed Kingsport Dobyns-Bennett 56-10 in the opening round of the TSSAA football playoffs. Leading 14-7 after an Indian touchdown, Blaze quarterback Miller Armstrong scores on the next play...

Blackman's defense came up big in the second half, forcing three Dobyns-Bennett turnovers, two returned for touchdowns by Donnel Baily and James Brown.

Taeler Dowdy had 156-yards on 13 carries and three touchdowns to lead Blackman offensively. Armstrong was 5-of-9 passing for 115 yards and a touchdown. He also ran for 77-yards on five carries and a TD.
