Broken tables and burned carpet at Blackman Elementary School

  Email   Print

The Murfreesboro Police Department was called to Blackman Elementary School after unknown persons set fire to a roll of carpet. Subjects also broke apart two tables that were sitting outside the school.

The tables looked as if they were used to form a bike or skateboard ramp, according to Principal Ford at Blackman (from an MPD Police Report). The carpet was sitting in the schools loading dock at the rear service entry.

The incident may have been caught on a school security camera. The tape is being reviewed and fire investigator Carl Peas was notified about the possible arson.
