A cement mixing truck ran off the roadway on Memorial Blvd Monday in Murfreesboro. It is not yet known why the over-sized truck lost control and struck a vehicle and then ran off the roadway.

The cement truck struck a tree on the York VA Medical Center campus and the entire mixer on the back of the truck was completely torn off. Prior to running off the roadway, it is believed that the truck struck a car and then ran into the grass, off the road.

The accident is under investigation, but Sgt. Kyle Evans with the Murfreesboro Police Department told WGNS that there are not believed to be any serious injuries associated with the wreck.
