Construction equipment stolen from a Murfreesboro rental business

Sunbelt Equipment Rentals off of South Church Street near I-24 was burglarized. The report was filed on Wednesday morning in Murfreesboro.

The front glass of the business was broken out and a hole was cut in a chain link fence on the side of the construction equipment rental business.

After police officers cleared the building on Wednesday morning, they spoke to the employees who advised that the break-in occurred either Tuesday (6/27/17) night or early Wednesday (6/28/17) morning.

In addition to causing over $500 in damages to the building and fence, over $2,600 in equipment was stolen. Some of that equipment included an automated demolition hammer, four Husqvarna gas powered saws and a 20" Husqvarna chainsaw.

The Murfreesboro Police Criminal Investigation Division is investigating the burglary. At this point, an arrest has not been made.
