(MURFREESBORO) More counterfeit hundred-dollar bills are being circulated in Murfreesboro. Officers responded to Walmart at 2012 Memorial Boulevard where the loss prevention representative said that two black females paid for merchandise with couterfeit $100 bills.
The Walmart employee told police that four persons entered the store and shopped around. They went to the checkout counter with shoes, a phone and a variety of merchandise.
One of the suspects was described as an old, heavy-set black female, while the other was a younger African-American woman. One of the two males was younger and the other was older. They left the store's parking lot in a Toyota car.
Murfreesboro Police Public Information Officer Larry Flowers warned that area merchants need to be watchful for counterfeit bills, especially one-hundred dollar amounts, which seems to be the most popular.
