Dec 05, 2016 at 02:01 pm by Bryan Barrett

The local JC Penny's on Old Fort Parkway is out six-hundred dollars. Murfreesboro Police Officer Timothy Adams reports he was called to the store Saturday around 11pm.

The manager said during the closing count, six one-hundred dollar bills with the same serial number were discovered. That's when she called police.
However, the funny money was found after the registers had been pooled together and there was no possibility of getting any identification of the individual who used them.

The bills were taken into police evidence.
