(MURFREESBORO) The 2020 Earth Day Celebration on the historic Murfreesboro square has been cancelled as a result of COVID-19. The popular event was set for Saturday, April 25, 2020 from 10:00AM-2:00PM.

Murfreesboro Electric's Amy Byers said, "It is with a heavy heart that the Earth Day Committee has decided to cancel this year's Earth Day Celebration. In the midst of all that is going on, we still want to encourage everyone to love and respect each other and our planet! We hope to use this year's theme again next year, "What Does Earth Day Mean To You," and our answers by then may have evolved."
