A deadly crash in Smyrna takes the life of a 29-year old Mt. Juliet woman and injures others. Smyrna Police spokesman Sergeant Bobby Gibson tells NewsRadio WGNS Emily Wilkerson was having trouble with her Chevy Impala. Another motorist, 23-year old Brandon Hight of Smyrna, stopped his Dodge Ram to assist. Both Wilkerson and Hight were outside their vehicle. That's when a vehicle driven by 20-year old Jamitria Patton of Smyrna approached from behind in her Infinity Q-30. As a result of the crash, Wilkerson died at the scene. Hight and Patton were injured and taken to area hospitals. Gibson says the investigation continues into the cause of the fatal crash.
