The VA Medical Center recently held an outing at the new Miracle Field Complex in Murfreesboro. Those who are part of the Community Living Center played an old fashioned game of baseball and for once, their disability did not get in the way of their performance.

The Miracle Field features a custom-designed, special rubberized baseball field built for children and adults with special needs. The field accommodates wheelchairs and other assertive devices. A buddy system pairs able-bodied peers with the Miracle League athletes.

The custom designed filed was built with money raised by Project One Four, a David Price Foundation, private donors and the City of Murfreesboro. The field is in front of Sports*Com at the intersection of DeJarnette Lane and Memorial Boulevard.
