Early voting continues to be strong in Rutherford County. Through Wednesday, there were over 68-hundred early votes cast.
According to the Secretary of State's office, Rutherford County has the fourth highest early voting numbers across Tennessee. That's behind Shelby, Knox and Hamilton Counties.
Statewide, there have been over 180-thousand early votes cast (through Wednesday).
Locally, there have been 4,374 Republican votes to 2,402 Democratic votes.

Rutherford County Election Administrator Alan Farley tells NewsRadio WGNS after the first three days of early voting, there has been a 10-percent increase in turnout in comparison to the August 2014 election. That was the last election there was a primary race for Governor on the ballot.
Early voting for the state primary and county general elections continues through July 28th.
