Emergency Responders Say "When It Rains, It Pours"!

May 22, 2019 at 10:31 pm by Bryan Barrett

(MURFREESBORO) The half-hour between 9:45 and 10:15 Wednesday (5/22/2019) morning proved to be a busy one for emergency responders. Some big rigs near Cracker Barrell off South Church Street snagged some lines and created issues for AT&T. Minutes after that, a construction accident in Shelton Square, a life-style community off Florence Road, resulted in a cut gas line.

Murfreesboro Electric arrived quickly and determined that only low-hanging telephone lines were pulled. Then AT&T crews had their own big rigs and bucket trucks working South Church near I-24 for several hours, as they lifted the stretched their lines. (see photo)

ATMOS Energy handled the gas line problem in the subdivision near Florence Road and between I-24 and 840.

This was not a major news story, but the fire trucks, police and ambulances created many questions in motorist's minds, so NewsRadio WGNS is telling you what happened. By early afternoon, all was back to normal.
